This is my second time photographing this family and it was just as fun this time as it was the first. They are a FUN family! The kids are always so happy and have no problem showing it to the camera. Not camera shy at all! As a family they love to go ride their bikes. So, why not make that the subject of our photo shoot? I had a lot of fun playing around with motion blur for a few frames. When I wasn’t playing with motion blur, I was working up a sweat running to position myself for the each shot. It was a fun challenge and I got my workout for the day, so that was an added bonus. 😉 Apart from riding bikes we had a fun little hike where we came upon a covey of Quail and a rabbit (picture included in this post). Then the kids showed me their silly faces and karate moves. A full hour of action and fun.

This little darling was just 11 days old here. She was so sleepy and content during this whole session. You might remember mama’s maternity session (and family session) here .  Her older brother was not at all interested in being in the photos this time around, but that was perfectly fine. He adores her and it shows in a couple of the images that I have shared below.  Apparently baby E came into this world with her hand by her face. She clearly feels most comfortable that way as you will see in the images where she was swaddled. She gave us a huge happy dream smile while in Mama’s arms and a content sleepy smile while on Dada’s lap. Such sweetness all around! I love this family!
But throwing a pillow is!!! 🙂

This mother and son are so cute together. They have so much fun! This session went from sweet and loving, to playful, back to sweet and loving. They have a mutual love for gummy bears and I was able to document them enjoying some together.  I don’t eat gummy bears, but I did as a child and orange was the best flavor. No contest! Yellow second best. Well, I was shocked to find out that they dislike yellow AND (deep breath) orange!!! They won’t eat them! So you will see some of their dislike in the pictures below. So funny. I also love how they chop the heads off of the green or red (their favorites) and paste them on the opposite body. I have never seen that before and it was so fun.
Mama wanted some pictures with her son before she tied the knot and expanded their family. Such a great idea! I love that they included “Lamby” a very special member of their family.

This family is AWESOME! In the hour I spent during this shoot, one thing really stuck out to me about who they are as a family: they are a team. It was so great to see how much they help each other and work together. It was inspiring. Girl child (Miss J) is already doing her own laundry!!! She enjoys it too. AMAZING!!! After the shoot I decided to teach my girls how to do laundry. They were excited…for a second (we need to work on it).
During the shoot, I got to document them watering the flowers, bike riding, picnic, story time, ring around the rosy, and some good old fashioned kid launching. It was a fun time. I felt like I was smiling all hour long.
