These images were taken at Paramount Ranch. I love it there, my kids love it there, and other photographers love it there. I’m pretty sure my clients would love it there too. In order to photograph my clients there, I had to obtain a permit. In order to obtain a permit (to be renewed annually), I had to have some funds to invest into it and into liability insurance (which I should have been investing in from day one…still learning). SO….DONE AND DONE! YAY!!! NOW I am ready to shoot a session here and I am offering an amazing deal to the first person to book their session at this location. The session needs to be scheduled for a day in August and must fit into the “lifestyle” style of photography. I am pretty sure those of you who have been following my work can see that I am inspired by real life. I love candid moments and I strive to capture them. I have room during the session for some scripted moments or “posed” family shots, but most of the session will consist of you doing your thing while I snap away. If this sounds like something for you, please continue reading.
For $250 you will get an hour shoot, at least 40 retouched images in a private online gallery, a 16×20 standout print valued at $100, and a 30 day PASS gallery. This PASS gallery will allow you to download the images that you want, share them on facebook and other social media, and order professional prints (up to 8×10) at an amazing price.
Now, Paramount Ranch isn’t the only location that I am legally allowed to photograph. I now have legal access to the Santa Monica Mountains, Peter Strauss Ranch, and more! So, if you don’t get in on this deal, don’t worry, I will be coming out with one more opportunity for a special deal in the fall. Now’s the time to really start thinking about those holiday photos! If you are waiting for it to be closer to the holidays, just keep in mind that I will be taking limited bookings during the month of November and will not be booking holiday picture shoots in December. Please email me at angie@angelavaleriephotography.com to inquire and/or book your session! 🙂

This is Orchid. She is a very loved, sweet faced, gentle dog. She has cancer. =( This is where photography REALLY proves meaningful. Whether it be a hired professional or your own personal snapshots. Having the ones you love in pictures is priceless. When I met Orchid and her elder sibling Iris , they greeted me with such love and showered me with kisses. The amount of unconditional love dogs bring is just overwhelming. I was a stranger to them and within seconds we were kissing each other. I love that. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am an animal lover and longtime vegan. Anywhere in life where I can help animals or the people that love them, I will. This was as much a gift to me as it was to this amazing family. Meeting these dogs filled my heart and I am tearing up while typing knowing that Orchid won’t be here much longer. This family raised some amazing dogs and these parents raised some amazing boys too! I seriously didn’t want to leave. I was being entertained by the boys, loved by the dogs, and was also greeted with some beautiful light! I couldn’t narrow down to just a few images, so it’s a really long post. But make sure to get to the bottom where you will see the little movie I made. 🙂

This family is so cool. They orchestrated a camping excursion with probably a dozen families. It was SO MUCH FUN! I feel so lucky to know them, be friends with them and be a part of this first annual (yes people have already booked their spots for next year) camping trip. Our goal is to fill up the entire place with friends and friends of friends. How fun would that be?
This was at Ventura KOA. Gorgeous place with wild peacock running around. When we were deciding on a shoot location, we ended up agreeing that it would be fun to do it here. I was all for it although not having ever been there before made me feel vulnerable as a photographer, but I was greeted with gorgeous light and so many beautiful backdrops. My only real concern was if the kids would be willing to step away from their friends and the fun for an hour to do this. They did incredibly well, but our shoot ended after about 30 minutes and although I would have liked to have had an hour, I really got some great shots during that time with one of my favorite shots being when Jake lost a tooth! So cool to have been present to document that moment.
The first shot on here is the first shot I took. I am a sucker for the in between moments and there is something about the shot below that I LOVE! I am horrible at directing people and sometimes I have to, but this was before I said anything other than “stand under that tree”. Had I got a perfectly posed shot with this setup, I don’t know if I would have shared it here. I just like imperfection SO MUCH! There is also the black and white shot of Dad with his arms up that cracks me up. I love how Mom’s head in the background sits perfectly on his shoulder. Funny pictures always win for me. They gave me many fun and funny images. It was definitely an entertaining 30 minutes. 🙂
