Ventura County Family Photographer – The Capra Family

I was thrilled to have been chosen for this adorable family’s photos again. This little doll of a child is just amazing. She has so much energy and is always in action, which for a photographer, is the best. She is full of sweetness too. Her parents are also so sweet and play with her so much. That is all I can hope for at a shoot. For the parents to be involved and PLAY! And what cooler place to play than the Ventura Harbor? What a treat for little Miss Gorgeous Blue Eyes. She ate it up and I ate it up, too. They brought bubbles, they did ring around the rosy, and of course played in the arcade. I brought along a my instax mini Polaroid camera for her to shoot with if she wanted to and she was SO into it. I was so proud. She took great pictures too. She got to go home with them, otherwise I would show you. I was so impressed how quickly she learned how it works. I must remember to bring that camera to more shoots. I would love to see the art that these children will create.

Newbury Park Family Photographer – The Brych Family

I can’t get over how photogenic this family is. Even little Miss Finley was super alert most of the shoot. I know little Mr. Liam from my son Blake’s preschool. He is such a sweet boy and since I am always at the school taking pictures, I was pretty confident he would feel comfortable around me. Well, thankfully he was and seemingly less reserved, even. He had fun exploring and giving love, but also was incredible about sitting still for a picture or two. This was the first time I had met his parents and the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree at all! Such nice and cool parents. I imediately felt like they were old friends of mine. I get so nervous when I photograph new clients and my nerves were quickly put at ease a few minutes into the shoot. Oh, and how cool is mama Lejla’s hair? I am obsessed.

Thousand Oaks Family Photographer – Grayson at 9 Months Old

This post is way overdue. From OCTOBER! Oh well, at least I know that one day I will be able to have a faster turnaround time with blogging. Anyway, I am getting ready to shoot his 12 month pictures (more like 14 months) pretty soon and I realized that I haven’t yet shared this shoot yet. It was a very windy day but really nice outside and we started at a park and then moved on over to the pumpkin patch for some pictures of him in his adorable dragon costume. He is one of my baby’s first year babies. He is so sweet, cute, pudgy and smiley. I can’t wait to see him again soon!

Ventura County Family Photographer – The Feeney Family

This family is so adorable! I was so thrilled when they contacted me for another year of their family photos. These kids are incredibly sweet and super funny. The image with big sister’s hand on little brother’s head cracks me up! And mom and dad are always so involved and play with the kids which always makes the pictures their best. Seriously, no shortage of great shots from this session. We went to the ever so fun Paramount ranch for this shoot and the kids seemed to have liked it a lot. We only hit one snag and that would be when little Owen wanted to see the dinosaur in my lens. Sometimes to get children to look directly into the lens I will tell them that if they look and smile they might see the Dinosaur or Unicorn or Princess (etc.) and well, Owen happens to be a literal kind of kid. He really truly believed it and towards the end of our shoot, he was feeling very let down that the it was time to go and he still hadn’t seen Mr. Dinosaur. The shot at the end melts my heart and I am happy to have it. I think his parent’s are happy to have it too. CUTEST SAD FACE EVER! Owen, I know you can’t read this, but I just want you to know that I owe you a dinosaur and next time you won’t be disappointed.

Conejo Valley Family Photographer – The Gebhardt Family

It was very hard to narrow down for this post. I really love all of the images. This family is the cutest! Patty (mom) and I went to high school together and I am so honored that she chose me to take her pictures. The idea for the shoot was fantastic. They wanted their awesome truck in the pictures because they share so many memories as a family in that truck. The truck is seriously a part of the family. I really loved watching the boys play in it. I was so impressed with how long the boys lasted for this shoot which went longer than normal. They brought along grandma and grandpa for some pictures and I am thrilled that they did. I feel like there aren’t enough grandparents getting in front of the camera with their grandkids. Makes me want to make a better effort with my own kids’ grandparents. They also brought along Coco the dog which belongs to Auntie. I love that dog. I loved watching how much the boys love that dog. So cute! This shoot is long overdue in the blogging department, so I will stop writing and share it with you now.

Newbury Park Family Photographer – Three Amazing Kids

Here are some kids that I am in awe over. They are AMAZING! I know this family through my daughter Amelie’s school and what lucky people we are to know them. Not only are they the nicest family, but when my daughter Amelie gets together with Dominic (the brother in the plaid) they are like two peas in a pod. Amelie is more on the weird side while Dominic is more silly, but they get along so great. Dominic is such a sweet and kind person. They totally have my permission to get married when they grow up. I just had to put that out there. 😉

These sibling blow me away. They have so much love and respect for each other. The boys are twins. Jeremy in the red shirt is autistic. I had no idea what to expect from our shoot because I didn’t know Jeremy very well. I worried that my camera in his face might overwhelm him. What a foolish fear for me to have had! He was SO MUCH FUN! He was full of smiles and watching him see the world was such an honor. The way his siblings interact with him melted my heart. I really can’t gush over them enough. Big sister Angelina is an angel. Seriously, her name is PERFECT for her. These kids must make their parents so proud and I have no doubt that they will be amazing adults in the future. This shoot was for Dad’s birthday present. I feel so honored to have been chosen for this job.
